The Future

What are the plans for WoodWorkersArt.com?

There are several articles that have been written for the site, but there are lots of pictures in them, as there should be.  At present I don't have the capability to handle photos in such a way as to be able to load them on the site.  Therefore the articles will be postponed for a little while.

But if there were to be no improvements, changes, additions you wouldn't come back!  So it's OK.  Here are some of the subjects that will be covered.

Yes, I know there are a couple of punctuation mark errors, but the system won't correct them.  There are things we have to live with it seems.
In addition, this system (and perhaps others) occasionally kicks out a photo, leaving only an X.  I hope to find out why.  And fix that.

Scrollsaw Potentials
The various kinds of scrollsaw work will be explained, with lots of photos, telling about
Intarsia
Inlay
Bevels
Marquetry, both inlay work in furniture, etc. and picture marquetry
Segmentation
Toy making
Fretwork
Doll houses and furniture
Jewelry
Compound (3-D)
Incise-carving
Joinery
Pseudo basket weaving
Flowers and vases

And the scrolling of various materials such as
Paper
Coins
Bone & antler
Eggshell
Seashells
Plastics
Mirror

On and on!

Methods
Finishing
Wood grains
Rotary tool and diamond headed grinders

Other Woodworking Formats
There's an ocean of topics.  Make that, a forest of topics that other woodworkers can add that have nothing to do with the scrollsaw.
Wood turning; lathe
Bandsaw
Furniture of a hundred different kinds and styles
Cabinetry
Carving
Making walking sticks and canes
Signmaking
Pyrogrophy (woodburning)
Boxes
Joinery
We certainly hope some of you will be joining this site and educating others.

Hints & Ideas
We can't forget all the comments, suggestions, project plans et al that you out there will be contributing.  Maybe 'contributing' is the wrong word.  Perhaps they're things you've wanted to get off your chests.  OK.  We hope lots of these things can be incorporated into FAQ or Hints & Ideas.  Unless you don't want it, you will be credited as the originator.

When some more competence is gained in dealing with photos, many will be added to the text.  They will be used to more clearly demonstrate things the text is trying to only describe.  They'll make the text much more readable, understandable and attractive.

We hope this all sounds good to you.  If there is something we should be doing differently, please let us know.  Thanks.
